Concurrent engineering (also called parallel or simultaneous engineering) is the development cycle characterized by the parallel, concurrent execution of the different phases of the process: analysis, design, production, testing, and integration. It allows the product to be built or modified continuously through the ongoing delivery of discrete increments that are functional and valid for integration into the system.
